Travel Vaccinations
Please complete an online consultation form to book an appointment with the Practice Nurse detailing the destination, duration, and activities of your trip. A short phone call will then be arranged to discuss your risk and which vaccines/medication you may need. Please ensure you have access to any vaccines you did not have with the NHS during this phone call. If required, the nurse will then book an appointment for you to come in to have the vaccines. Some vaccines are provided free of charge by the NHS, whilst others may be a private service. Please be reassured that the nurse will only recommend vaccines based on your individual risk. The prescribing of antimalarial medication is a private service and will incur a fee.
Swiss Cottage Surgery are able to administer any vaccines recommended, including Yellow Fever.
To ensure that the vaccines to work effectively, we recommend contacting the surgery 8 weeks prior to travel. However, should your trip be sooner we will still be able to help, so please contact us as soon as possible.
