eReferrals
Did you know that you can now manage your referral online?
If your GP refers you to a hospital or clinic, ask if you can book the appointment online. It's fast, convenient and secure.
Managing your referral online is easy. You can book your own appointment on a date and time that’s convenient for you. You may also be able to choose which hospital or clinic you go to.
If you are referred, visit the NHS Website. You will need:
- your booking reference number, from your booking letter
- the password you received with your booking letter
- your year of birth.
If you have been referred, but don’t have your booking reference number or password, please contact the Practice. If you have any problems booking online, call the telephone number on your booking letter.
Once booked you can check the details, change your appointment or cancel it, if it is no longer needed.
Booking your own referral appointment also helps save your GP time and the NHS money.
Family Planning
Appointments with one of our Practice Nurses at any time or with your usual doctor. The practice provides a full range of Family Planning, Well Woman Checks and cervical smears for all age groups with absolute confidentiality.
Our highly qualified practice nurses can carry out most of the services. If, however, you wish to see the doctor your are most welcome to do so
Immunisations
You can book an appointment for routine childhood immunisations with one of our practice nurses. The surgery is not responsible for reminding you when your child’s immunisations are due. You can find the immunisation schedule in your child’s red book or visit the Patient Info website
Long-Term Conditions
Patients living with certain long-term conditions will be encouraged to attend a Yearly Health Check. Long-term conditions are those that impact over a long period of time, such as diabetes and heart diseases.
Patients will receive personalised care and support from healthcare professionals from their general practice. This will cover things that patients say matter most to their health and wellbeing, from the best treatment for their condition, to wider things like employment, housing, and mental health.
Minor Surgery
Minor surgery clinics are held at the practice for treatment and/or removal of minor skin problems such as warts, skin tags and some moles and cysts. Treatment is quick and easy.
Before booking an appointment in the minor surgery clinic you need to see Dr Entikabi or another GP in a routine appointment to assess suitability for the service. Once it has been established that you are suitable for this clinic, a member of our reception team will contact you to offer you the next available appointment.
Physiotherapy
The simplest way for patients to access physiotherapy services in Camden is to self-refer by phoning Connect Physical Health on 020 7871 0545.
If you have more complex needs, or are unsure about the treatment you require, your GP will be able to assess your condition and refer you appropriately.
Swiss Cottage Surgery now offers a First Contact Physio service, please send an online consultation request to us and you will be contacted about an appointment with one of our physios. Please note, this is a one-off appointment where they will assess you and diagnose accordingly. If they think you need more sessions of physio, they will arrange this for you.
Stop Smoking
Our nurses can advise and support you in all aspects of smoking cessation, including medication and nicotine replacement therapy.
